The Sellers have taken an excellent period of architecture in America, Circa 1920, and cleverly managed to open just the right sections of each room to expose light and views to the Chesapeake.
The family's bikes are waiting safely on the front porch (which goes around 3 sides of the house) for the next adventure. The house was just painted and I love the colors.
An antique desk rests in the roomy front hall. From here one can go through the hall into the kitchen, upstairs or into the living room.
Brushed stainless steel cabinetry all below the birch counter surfaced with frosted glass cabinetry above. There isn't any part of the kitchen I didn't want to take home. Viking 5 burner cook Top, Double wall ovens (Frigidaire) Fisher 2 drawer dishwasher, stainless steel microwave, side by side stainless refrigerator. Love this faucet as well, and the deep sink.
The square footage of this kitchen is 12 x 11, yet seems enormously larger due to the incredible design. Plus no matter where one is in the kitchen views are to the perennial gardens and the Bay.
Commercial linoleum in a colorful pattern laid on the kitchen and breakfast nook certainly allows for heavy traffic and easy maintainence. The breakfast nook is surrounded by windows and suitable for 4 adults.
Sitting room 13 x 15 with views to the dining room, family room and on to the gardens and bay.
View of sunroom, calling it a family room for the location is a bit more private and so comfortable. The double doors exit to the open deck scaling the back elevation of the home.
Shall we view the second floor? The staircase is very well built, we ascend while viewing the foyer below.
We are looking out the window of the 8 x 13 bedrooms, scaled with windows with views again. Isn't this fun?
This 10 x 9 room, which faces the front elevation of the home, is a bedroom which the sellers have made into a perfect two person office.
Every inch of the garden is planned around the oldest Crape Myrtle tree I've ever seen. Views of the neighbors well kept garden can be enjoyed as well.
Goodbye for now old house.
Chesapeake Bay is only 1 block away. The sand dunes are beautiful.
You can walk on the beach or swim any time you want to.
