No need for flood insurance here, for the banks are quite high. While the views of the creek can be seen through 12 out of the 14 rooms, the views of the mature trees and scrubs is pleasing.
The floor plan flows very comfortably. We are now entering the foyer, 12 x 16. All the door hardware is the original heavy brass.
Partial view of the newly remodeled kitchen, granite counter tops, new stainless steel appliances, and my favorite interior BBQ.
Here we see another side of this 16 x 17 kitchen, with its new Electrolux gas cook top. The new handcrafted tiles on the back splash will be installed shortly. Where the tea pots are is the BBQ.
Seems to be the breakfast room is used mostly for paying bills or going over new recipes, for who wouldn't want to have breakfast in the adjacent all season porch over looking the creek and gardens. I've seen entire families of ducks quack by, while Blue jays and Cardinals fluttered about.
Sorry to say I don't have the details on the fireplace mantel, although rumor has it that is quite historical. The sitting room extends from the front to rear elevation of the house. Oak flooring and lovely views, 16 x 26.
Wood burning fireplace and bit more detailed view of the mantel.
The formal dining room all freshly painted is 14 x 16.
Here is the manly man's room with its cheery paneled and brick walls, massive fireplace and exits to the garage, exterior and enclosed porch through the Dutch doors. 18 x 16 that also could act as the private sitting room for the 21 x 12 ensuite adjacent bedrooms.
Additional view of the fireplace. These days I suppose they would call this room a media room.
View of the first floor bedroom 21 x12. Double closets and private bath.
Normally don't take photos of the bathrooms, yet wanted to show you that while this is the original construction of 1969, what goes around comes around for it looks charmingly up-to-date.
Excellent craftsmanship throughout the home, this banister is an example.
View 1 of the 4 second floor bedrooms, filled with light with hardwood flooring, this room is 16 x 23.
Master bedroom has excellent cross ventilation, water and garden views, raised panel double closets, and of course private bath.
The architect was very clever is splitting the chimney so as to allow for attic window.
View of rear elevation of the house. The house is on two lots with an additional waterfront building site.
