The second floor en-suites have 270 degrees of veranda. Viewing northeast across Burton Bay is Cedar island, last known to be 7 miles in length and 1/8 mile in width. A barrier island in the Atlantic and world renowned fishing grounds where wild tuna, rock, seabass, trout, flounder, drum are caught. Yearly tournaments are held. A portion of the beach is community access and the remainder is private to the home sites.

Just beyond the span of mature trees is the southern border and home site 42 having 2.3 acres, bay frontage, marsh frontage, views that stretch over Burton Bay to the Atlantic and hundreds of acres of conservation lands. Presently offered at $595,000.

As a property owner at Edgewater this Community center, pool, beach and boat ramp will be yours to use freely. The en-suites will have scheduled booking with only a small clean up fee. The yearly maintenance fee of $1000. is quite reasonable, for the roads are maintained by the state and the pool house is solid brick and slate. Tis the Best!

Sunrise at Edgewater.

Snow and Canadian geese are just a few of the many species that rely on Edgewater for migration and year-round habitat. Otters can be seen playing in the established 3 acre pond with two islands. The Sellers have been very respectful of the wildlife and provided common areas for their peace. There are 3 ponds with 11 pond front home sites remaining. You will also enjoy the abundance of wildlife as you quietly travel the community trail. Pond front sites begin at $240,000. and there are 3 with ocean view priced at $285,000. to $385,000.

The elegant entrance of the community center was designed for the best of any occasion. You'll be able to entertain friends and family and stay in the suites while visiting your property and planning your home. The Sellers have several builders to recommend, although you may bring your own.

The 60' pool was patterned after one on the island of St. Bart's, holding approximately 50,000 gallons of water. There are equal depths for team fairness in a game of water polo. While I prefer the sea at Burton Bay for a daily swim the pool offers a choice for swimming preference.

Everyone will be able to enjoy sunrise views such as this, which is common to Edgewater. Sunsets over the wood lands and sea are lovely as well. The sunset reflects in the water and provides such a show you can easily be convinced that you are viewing westerly.

Due south and adjacent to Edgewater are 600 + acres of conservation lands. Edgewater has just enough marsh to be entertaining and allow habitats for the shorebirds. Claming is magnificent, and the mussels are wonderful, and are plentiful at Edgewater, personal knowledge, since I partake nearly every Sunday.

On the horizon is Parramore and the southern end of Cedar. The Virginia Inside Passage runs the entire distance of the eastern portion of our peninsula. There are miles of protected waterways and bays to navigate, some being well marked, with little towns where you can tie up along side . and partake of a pint. Edgewater is the best of locations for year round living, being 5 minutes north of the town of Wachapreague, 12 minutes east of the town of Onancock, and 10 minutes south of the town of Accomac. All being quite historical in nature with small town atmosphere. Two major cities are nearby, Norfolk and Salisbury, 1 ½ to 2 hours drive. Washington DC is 180 miles north, 3 ½ hours drive. While having all the conveniences you'll feel a million miles away from any bustle, immersed in the sea and wildlife.
