. I'd certainly like to take credit for this photo yet it goes to the present owner. This view encompasses the cove from the dock and on to the Chesapeake. A boat basin with expansive views, to say the least.
Broadway Landing is within view and just steps away from toes in the water and sand beneath your soles. I'll be gathering more information regarding this Landing. Presently I know that it is rarely used today as in days passed when travel by vessel was the most convenient mode of travel. I believe the distant buoy marker Green 9.
Scaled with windows having views of the nature and creek is this dining room. Quite roomy with contiguous mud room and full bath. Estimated at 25 x 11'.
The wood stove is a Fisher and does a bang up job of keeping the majority of the home quite warm. This section of the home is the oldest, filled with clever application of paint in the most artistic way. There is a back staircase where you'll be able to sneak down for a cupper without roaming the rest of the house. 16 x 21. You can see the entrance to the sitting room, 15 x 15. The cross ventilation is super in all the rooms.
Here is another photo I'd like to take credit for yet again the present owner, a gifted soul. This is the landing between the two up stairs bedrooms and the full bath. Its a lovely quiet spot for a good read. I've never see floor boards as wide as seen here. The random width goes from 14" to 8".
There is a fresh water pond that can be viewed from the Master bedroom or the sitting room as well as the deck. There are fruit trees, grape vines and native planting all about.
Atop the trees, with breezes from the sea, can be enjoyed from both the Master bedroom deck, that is very private as well as from the deck on the first floor.
The boardwalk that leads to the dock is an experience in Eastern Shore nature. Ospreys, King Fishers to name a few will say howdy do.
. This last winter gave us a bit of New England, we all grumbled at first then we whispered "isn't it beautiful" then it was gone. The roof is under 5 years old and the house was lifted for added protection from storms.
The creek wraps around the property allowing for protective anchorage for shallow draft vessels.
Under sail no problem, have a retractable keel and you'll be in good shape.
